Carnival Glass
Over the years I've collected many things, such as candle holders, porcelain dolls and unicorns. My interest in these collections ran its course and they were among the bags of "treasures" passed along to others through yard sales or charity shops. But there are a few collections I have kept and will pass down to my children. One of these is my collection of carnival glass. Unlike some other collections, it is not only beautiful, but holds special meaning for me. It was given to me by my late father-in-law, and I will cherish each piece of it always.
We recently hosted a dinner for my husband's family and thought it fitting that some of these beautiful pieces should be used in our table setting. Filled with azaleas, they sparkled and reflected the vibrant colors and were the perfect reminder of my father-in-law's love.
I created a simple 4x6 digital layout of the carnival glass to put into my scrapbook as a reminder of how beautiful it looked. The supplies I used were: ScrapSimple Paper Templates: Downtown, ScrapSimple Tools - Styles: Gold 5101 Super Biggie and Lettering Delights Painter's Hand Font.

Beautiful, Durin. I don't think I've ever heard of carnival glass. It's really lovely.

Hi,
Coincidentally, I just recently noticed carnival glass. I have not actually seen it that I can remember but from the photos I have seen it is GORGEOUS as it is in your layout. I love COLOR!
Is it depression glass? I know nothing about it.
Thanks,
Katie
