Recently I had the opportunity to meet my first Scrap Girls designer, Brandy Murry! We met at Hartfield International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia, as she returned from the Scrap Girls Convention in Salt Lake City. We recognized each other immediately and felt as if we had known each other our whole lives. We were just two Georgia girls chatting about this and that, having a great time.
But in the midst of all our fun, we did the unthinkable! Brandy and I, who spend most of our time in Photoshop, designing for scrapbooking, working with photographs, never once took a single picture! When i got home and realized this I was saddened, but it occurred to me that a photograph does not constitute a memory. It may help us recall that memory and share it with others, but the memory of our wonderful afternoon, two friends laughing and chatting, was safe in my mind forever.
And although I may not have a photograph from that afternoon to scrap, I could still honor our time together with a layout featuring journaling as a focal point. Yes, I could do that. Or since we both neglected to take photographs, perhaps I could use what I had, photographs from the Scrap Girls' "About Us" section, and get creative...

Layout created using: Altered Art Collection Biggie, Xtreme Teen: Skateboard Collection Biggie & Brush Set: Formal Grunge Alpha 4 Biggie .

I have just seen this!! Oh my..well you are so right..what were we thinking? No pictures. Too busy "yapping". It was wonderful to meet you as well. I know we can do it again since I am in and out of Atlanta so much. BIG hug to my new/old friend.
