Driving Me Crazy

(Conversation overheard)

Ro: Where are we going?

V: Over there.

Ro: But we just got here. Why are we going over there?

V: Because you wanted to go over there.

Ro: I thought we were going somewhere else. Where are we going again?

V: Crazy, Ro. You're driving me crazy.

Ro: No, I'm not. Because you're the one who is driving. See. That's you behind the wheel right now. I'm over here being all innocent.

V: You? Innocent.

Ro: Yeah. I'm innocent. It's just me and my little digital camera trying to make you...

V; Crazy.

Ro: Is it working?

V: Almost.

It's so easy being green

Sometimes, I feel like I'm hiding. I walk around the mall in my mom-jeans and my mom-T-shirts and carry my mom-purse and nobody looks at me. It's only when I get in the mom-section of a department store that some lady my age finally says, "Can I help you?"

Sometimes, I say yes, but usually I say no. I kind of like hiding out and wandering around, looking at things with nobody watching me. It's one of the benefits of becoming 50 years old.

Who knew?

I''m there and if you look at me, you can see me and I'm really okay, but you need to be making an effort to look for me to see me.

This green plant in the green pot by the green curtain just about covers it. It's so easy being green!
